This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online on-line and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website, reference number AfDB148-02/19 dated 1 February 2020. The General Procurement Notice for Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development was published on 24 March 2020.

The Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Water Resources (MoWR) and Ministry of Finance (MoF) has received Financing from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development towards the cost of Freetown WASH & Aquatic Environment Project (WASHAERP) .It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Lot B: Development of a water supply system in Angola town, Freetown, Sierra Leone.

The Guma Valley Water Company now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the design, supply & installation Water System at Angola Town in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of fifty 50) united states dollars or fifty million Leones from Guma Valley Water Company Finance Office 7th Floor.

The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development standard bidding documents for procurement of Works.

Bids must be delivered to the address at section 4 of the attached Specific Procurement Notice at on or before 10:30am GMT, Freetown Local Time Tuesday 9 February 2021 and must be accompanied by a security of USD 176,200(One Hundred Seventy Six Thousand and Two Hundred United States Dollars) from a reputable Bank in form of Bank Guarantee.

some of the evaluation criteria includes annual turnover of 18,000,000(Eighteen Million) United States Dollars calculated as total certified payments received for work in progress or completed for at least last five years and specific experience in Design and construction of conventional water treatment plant with disinfection minimum capacity 2,500 cubic meters per day and Supply and install electromechanical equipment for Water Treatment Plant among other criteria.
