Provision of Car Rental Services

The United Nations Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY) in Amman wishes to enter into a three (1+1+1) year agreement with a company for provision of transport services for official purposes. The required services include provision of cars and drivers – The vehicles will be driven by the Contractor’s drivers to the benefit of OSESGY staff and consultants for official purposes, within Amman governorate and to different areas within Jordan as need be.

Drivers: must be in possession of valid Jordanian driving license and Non-Criminal Police Record issued by the Jordanian police. Drivers must be able to communicate in English. The driver must be responsible to do the routine daily check and take necessary services that might be required to maintain the vehicles in excellent operating conditions.

Operation Hours and Duty: The drivers should report to the office by 0800hrs, unless formerly informed for earlier reporting time. OSESGY require flexible working hours and the Contractor is expected to ensure no driver serves for more than ten (10) hours continuously. Thus, if for official purposes OSESGY requires continuous driving services to more than nine (9) hours, the Contractor is required to provide a replacement driver.

Vehicle: OSESGY during the agreement course could require 3 vehicles in total. All vehicles must be model of the current year or maximum one year old. However, the mileage should not exceed 20,000km.

The specifications of the requirement will be provided in the Solicitation Documents.

This EOI does not constitute a solicitation. OSESGY reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to an EOI does not automatically guarantee that such company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Only those prospective companies that are deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their submission will receive the final Solicitation Documents.
