Supply of Electricity to JRC-Geel

The European Commission is an institution of the European Union, responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the EU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EU.

The European Commission, Joint Research Centre, (referred to below as the contracting authority) is planning to award the contract(s) resulting from the above procurement procedure. The procurement documents consist of the contract notice, the invitation letter, the draft contract(s) and tender specifications with their annexes. The JRC-Geel intends to conclude a contract with an electricity provider for the supply of electricity to the site. The incoming voltage is 15 kV and maximum power 3 500 kVA. The contract will have a fixed duration of 1 years (renewable up to 4 years). 100% of the supplied electricity must come from renewable resources and/or high efficiency co-generation as defined by Directive 2009/28/EC and Directive 2004/8/EC respectively.
