The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Government of India has received financing from the ADB toward the cost of Tamil Nadu Urban Flagship Investment Program (TNUFIP), Tranche 3. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract package named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The Commissioner, Madurai City Municipal Corporation (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the “Construction of Distribution Network System, House Service Connections within 36 months and Operation & Maintenance for 5 years of Distribution Network system, House Service Connections in Madurai City Municipal Corporation (Core City except Smart City ABD area) – Package IV – Phase III (“the Works”).

International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the ADB’s Single Stage – Two Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all eligible Bidders as described in the Bidding Document.
