Item Description:
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) is seeking for a qualified supplier to provide hardware upgrade service and licenses for UNGSC owned Satellite Modems.
The Satellite Modems are currently in use at the UNGSC Headquarters in Brindisi-Italy and at the United Nations Information and Communication Technology Facility (UNICTF), Valencia-Spain.
The upgrade is required to comply with new technologies DVB-S2X and Smart Carrier Technology, with the aim to achieve satellite links with high speed and better efficiency.
The hardware to be upgraded is as follows:
UNGSC, Brindisi (Italy):
Satellite Modem with IF standard to L-band DVBS2X upgrade kit, Model: Datum M7; Qty. 2
Satellite Modem with L-band standard to L-band DVBS2X upgrade kit, Model: Datum M7LT, Qty. 2
UNICTF, Valencia (Spain):
Satellite Modem with IF standard to L-band DVBS2X upgrade kit, Model: Datum M7; Qty. 2
Service Deliverables:
- Pick up and return of the hardware from UNGSC, Brindisi-Italy and UNICTF, Valencia-Spain (Return of Equipment on Delivered at Place (DAP) basis to UNGSC, Brindisi (Italy) and UNICTF, Valencia-Spain, respectively (INCOTERMS 2010)
- Hardware upgrade and license installation
- Diagnostic Test procedure
- Testing of equipment according to the proposed procedure.
In order to be awarded a Contract, the Vendor must be registered with the UN Secretariat through the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) for the required Level of Registration, which is “Level 1” before the award of the Contract.
