Construction of Works consisting of Sewer Networks, manholes, wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) comprising of screen chamber, diversion chamber, grit chamber, primary sedimentation tank, anaerobic baffle reactor, anaerobic filter, horizontal flow constructed wetland, sludge drying bed, sludge storage yard, manhole, staff quarter/ guard house, RCC retaining wall, landscaping works, wastewater lab, dismantling and reinstatement of existing municipal road and supply and laying of necessary valves, pipes & fittings etc.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Government of Nepal has received loan from ADB toward the cost of Urban Water Supply and Sanitation (Sector) Project (UWSSP). Part of this financing will be used payments under the contracts named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The Project Management Office, Urban Water Supply and Sanitation (Sector) Project (UWSSP), Department of Water Supply and Sewerage management, Ministry of Water Supply (“the Employer”) invites electronic bids from eligible Bidders for the scope of works described hereunder:

Stage- 1: Construction of works consisting of sewer networks, manholes, wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) comprising of screen chamber, diversion chamber, grit chamber, primary sedimentation tank, anaerobic baffle reactor, anaerobic filter, horizontal flow constructed wetland, sludge drying bed, sludge storage yard, manhole, staff quarter/ guard house, RCC retaining wall, landscaping works, wastewater lab, dismantling and reinstatement of existing municipal road and supply and laying of necessary valves, pipes & fittings etc. The construction period is two years (2) from the date of issuing of the work order.

Stage- 2: Operations and Maintenance of the sewer lines and WWTPs is two (2) years.

Open Competitive Bidding (International Advertisement) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single Stage: Two-Envelope envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
