    Item Description:

    The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) manages two Leased Lines between Brindisi, Italy and Valencia, Spain for redundancy purposes to avoid any service interruption to its customers.

    The UNGSC requires the provision of a terrestrial, point-to-point, digital international leased Line at 10 Gbps to connect the United Nations Information and Communications Technology Facility (UNICTF), in Valencia, Spain and the United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC), Brindisi in Italy, and a service level agreement that shall guarantee a minimum of 99.99% uptime each month. The selected Contractor must be able to upgrade the capacity circuit upon UNGSC’s request.

    The required line shall not overlap (i.e. have no common points) with the existing LL @ 10GB UNICTF- Valencia/UNGSC-Brindisi. The proposed Leased Line must not have any common intersection point with the existing redundant Leased Line.

    The line has to be provided all way through fiber optic connection end-to-end including:

    1. The carrier’s point of presence in Brindisi into the UNGSC-Brindisi provider room;
    2. The carrier’s point of presence in Valencia into the UNICTF-Valencia provider room

    The selected Contractor shall provide a 24/7/365 technical support via telephone and e-mail in English Language. In case of incidents requiring the Contractor’s presence within the UNGSC premises, the UNGSC requests on-site qualified technical interventions both at Valencia and Brindisi sites within four (4) hours.

    The initial duration of the contract shall be for a period of two (2) years from the date of the link activation, with the right to extend for additional 1 + 1 + 1 consecutive years, for a total of five (5) years.

    The full technical specifications will be provided with a solicitation document to be issued at a later stage after the closing date for this EOI.

    This Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) does not constitute a solicitation.

    The UNGSC reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the REOI and solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation documents when issued.
