Rental of X-ray Screening Machines for the United Nations Office in New York

The Procurement Division (“PD”) of the United Nations Headquarters in New York is seeking to rent X-ray screening machines to be installed at UN Headquarters premises in New York from 10 September 2019 through 8 October 2019.

In this regard, the UN is requesting expressions of interest from qualified companies which may be interested in participating in the solicitation process. The United Nations may consider establishing a long term contract for this purpose for five years duration.

For this purpose, PD shall shortly issue an Invitation to Bid to vendors who express interest to participate in the solicitation process.

The X-ray machines are required to facilitate the General Assembly activities and shall be required from 10- 12 September 2019 (Installation Date) through 8 October 2019 (Dismantle/Pick-up Date).

The requirements are as follows:

– SMALL capacity X-ray machines equivalent to or exceeding the specifications of L-3 model PX 5.3. (tunnel opening, = or > than 20.3″ x 13″; steel penetration, = or > than 27mm; capability to save, archive, review and retrieve images)

– LARGE capacity X-ray machines equivalent to or exceeding the specifications of L-3 model PX 6.4. (tunnel opening, = or > than 25.2″ x 16.9″; steel penetration, = or > than 27mm; capability to save, archive, review and retrieve images)

The United Nations also requires a Standby Technician to be present on site for the period 23 to 25 September 2019 from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM to ensure all equipments are operational and running optimally.
