Pre-qualification of Civil Works Contractors for UNDP Somalia Vendor Roster

Item Description:

This request for pre-qualification is for the sole purpose of establishing a list of highly qualified contractors who are technically, financially and administratively capable of providing excellent construction project(s) of various sizes and complexities for the next (3) three years. see the list below:

Contractors are requested to indicate the volume of work they can undertake.

ROAD REHABILITATION:

1.   Grading and compacting using acceptable laterite or road materials;
2.   Reinforced concrete culverts fabrication and installation as per drawings and specifications;
3.   Construction of reinforced concrete bridges;
4.   Drainage Control System;
5.   Assess to Surveying Equipment;
6.   Rental of heavy duty road equipment.

CONSTRUCTION/ REHABILITATION OF BUILDINGS:

1.   Excavation of foundation and construction of buildings as per drawings and work specifications;
2.   Roof and ceiling construction;
3.   Installation of plumbing and electrical fixtures;
4.   Painting;
5.   Rehabilitation of buildings as per drawings and work specification;
6.   Construction of reinforced concrete water towers.
7.   Construction of Security Structures (T-walls, Watch Towers, Jersey barriers, Boom gates, ballistics Gates/Doors, etc.)

REHABILITATION OR CLEANING OF DRAINAGES:

1.   Site clearing and preparation;
2.   Damming;
3.   Base stabilization;
4.   Blinding;
5.   Installation of reinforced concrete culverts;
6.   Construction of head walls;
7.   Backfilling of culverts and depressions;
8.   Compaction.

WATER AND SANITATION

1.   Digging of hand dug wells at a minimum deep of 15 meters;
2.   Installation of reinforced concrete culverts;
3.   Drilling and rehabilitation of borehole for safe drinking water;
4.   Construction and rehabilitation of canals;
5.   Construction of reinforced concrete apron;
6.   Installation of hand pumps;
7.   Construction of institutional latrines as per drawings and specifications.
8.   Provision of water supply for the urban and rural areas.
