Item Description:
The European Commission, Directorate-General for Informatics, referred to below as the contracting authority, is planning to award the contract(s) resulting from the above procurement procedure. The procurement documents consist of the contract notice, the invitation letter, the draft contract(s) and tender specifications with their respective annexes. All documents are available in the attached ZIP File.
Purpose of this call for tenders
The purpose of this call for tenders is acquisition of networking, network security, audio and video telecommunication solutions, as well as the provision of relevant maintenance, subscriptions and other associated services.
The scope of this call for tenders targets acquisition of hardware, software, licenses and subscriptions related to the following categories of networking and telecommunication solutions:
- Networking solutions
All the networking connectivity and transport solutions for the different types of networks, including, for instance, Campus (routing, switching, WiFi, etc.), backbone (routing, L2/L3 VPN, etc.), datacentre (routing, switching, SDN, etc.) and WAN solutions (Routing, SDWAN, DWDM, etc.); - Network security solutions
All the networking security solutions, including, for instance, products like firewalls, security gateways (Proxies, load balancers, etc.), VPN solutions, network visibility solutions, NAC management tools, etc.; - Audio and video telecommunication solutions
All the audio and video telecommunication solutions, including, for instance, media gateways, videoconferencing solutions, media distribution solutions, telephony solutions, the related end-users devices (videoconference systems, IP phones, etc.).
The services covered by this call for tender are:
- Professional services;
- Maintenance, including access to the vendors’ supports and replacement of defective equipment;
- On-site intervention;
- And other associated services.
Acquisition of management software, directly linked to the acquired products or specifically providing telecommunication services is included in scope of this call for tender, as well as virtual appliances when falling in the scope of this call for tenders. However, SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions are excluded from the scope.
The requested services, the specific requirements concerning their performance as well as the minimum service levels required and the applicable liquidated damages in case of their non- fulfilment are described in the General Service Level Agreement (Annex 8 of the attached documents).
