Item Description:
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).
Request for Expressions of Interest
The Republic of Angola has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Fisheries Sector Support Project, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for the Audit of Financial Statements of the Fisheries Sector Support Project.
The services included under this project are to: (a) conduct the audit of the project in accordance with international standards, or national auditing standards where applicable; (b) verify that the Project funds have been used for their intended purposes and in accordance with the provisions of the Loan Agreement(s); (c) report on the financial statements and communicate as required by auditing standards in accordance with the auditor’s findings; and (d) provide an independent professional opinion on the financial position of the Project.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” dated May 2008, revised July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
Interested consultants may obtain further information and detailed Terms of Reference at the address below during office hours from 10:00AM to 3:00PM (Angola time).
Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by December 2, 2020 at 3:00PM
