Call for Expression of Interest (EOI)

The International Trade Centre, ITC, is a joint agency of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations (UN) for trade related technical cooperation in developing countries.

Under the context of the joint ACP (African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States ) – EU (European Union) Programme, ITC will develop and implement capacity building activities and direct support to MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium- sized Enterprises) and smallholder farmers in coordination with regional and national support institutions in the areas of value addition, quality compliance, food safety, product development, and Agro-food processing.

In this regard, ITC is seeking to select a contractor with experience in the coffee value chain and proven network of financial partners to support the implementation of these activities in the region of North Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The ideal service provider/supplier would among other activities:

1. Install new coffee nurseries;
2. Ensure continuous coffee seedling production and delivery to coffee farmers;
3. Install genetically conform and high-standard seed lots of new varieties;
4. Assess and provide inputs for annual crops;
5. Assess and map farmers willing to diversify and intercrop coffee;
6. Assess farmer record keeping and training on financial management.

If not registered with ITC/UNOG or UNGM, please follow the Procedure for Registration as Potential Vendor at http://www.ungm.org as soon as possible. Nonregistered vendors on UNGM will not be able to participate in the invitation to tender that will be published at a later date.
