Item Description:
The mission of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) is to take forward the EU’s neighbourhood and enlargement policies, as well as coordinating relations with EEA-EFTA countries insofar as Commission policies are concerned. Subject of the contract
The subject of the contract is the Construction of Giresun Wastewater Treatment Plant & Wastewater Collection System.
Lot 1: Construction of Giresun Wastewater Treatment Plant:
The Giresun wastewater treatment plant will be an activated sludge plant with nutrient removal and anaerobic stabilisation of sludge generated in the activated sludge tanks.The Giresun WWTP will be planned, designed, constructed and equipped for satisfy the needs in Stage 2. The second stage of the treatment plant is planned to serve to approximately 114 178 p.e. The works for discharge line to Blacksea is also included in the scope. The lot 1 work will be implemented under FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-Build (Yellow Book First Edition 1999). This contract includes the design of the first and second stages of the wastewater treatment plant and construction of the units for first stage and second stage as appropriate. Additionally the contractor will also be responsible for start-up of the plant, commissioning, operational training of the end recipient’s personnel, and hand-over to the Municipality of the complete wastewater treatment plant ready for operation.
Lot 2: Construction of Giresun Wastewater Collection System:
The scope of lot 2 work can be summarised as: construction of approximately 24 km of wastewater collectors and sewerage network pipelines, construction of approximately 4.7 km forced mains and associated structures, supply, installation and construction of wastewater house connection pipes, parcel manholes and manholes, construction of three new wastewater pumping stations (Aksu, Boğacık, Saz), construction and installation of four new package type wastewater pumping stations (TM2, Küçükköy, Eriklimanı, Göksüz), construction of approximately 3.2 km highway, railway, river/creek, culvert, etc. crossing by horizontal directional drilling method and construction of one creek crossing by hanging pipe on bridge, installation of automation system for the pumping stations and preparation of wastewater collection system network as-built plans for constructed sewer mains. The lot 2 work will be implemented under FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Construction for Building and Engineering Works Designed by the Employer (Red Book First Edition 1999).
