Construction of Quarantine Facility and Rehabilitation of Quality Control Laboratory for The National Biological Control Unit (NBCU)

This Invitation for Bids (IFB) follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project that appeared on the African Development Bank’s Internet Website (www.afdb.org).

The United Republic of Tanzania (hereinafter called “Borrower”) received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) in the form of a financing towards the cost of Tanzania Initiatives for Preventing Aflatoxin Contamination (TANIPAC) Project. The Ministry of Agriculture intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to cover eligible payments under the contract for the Proposed Construction of Quarantine Facility and Rehabilitation of Quality Control Laboratory for The National Biological Control Unit (NBCU) – Kibaha.

The Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed Bids from eligible contractors for the execution of the works. The works consists of Constructions of Quarantine Facility and Rehabilitation of Quality Control Laboratory for the National Biological Control Unit (NBCU) – Kibaha (hereinafter called “the Works”). National Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Bank’s Rules and Procedures for Procurement of Goods and Works.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Agriculture, University of Dodoma, School of Humanities, Block 9, Ground Floor, Room No. I 121 from 09.00 Hours to 1500 Hours local time from Monday to Fridays inclusive except on public Holidays.
