    ——————————————————————————————————————

    Objectives and Deliverables:

Over three phases, the supplier is expected to write:

A series of at least nine topic-specific brochures which are expected to be approximately 2 pages each and be accessible to a broad audience. The topic-specific brochures are to cover:

    Phase I:

    • HIV and co-infections
    • Tuberculosis
    • Malaria

    Phase 2:

    • Women’s and children’s health
    • Respond to global health emergencies
    • Oxygen

    Phase 3:

    • Regional/domestic manufacturing
    • Climate and Health
    • Universal health coverage (UHC)

    Scope:

These topic-specific brochures are part of a set of new materials that should mark a shift in Unitaid’s external positioning, in line with our new 2023-2027 Strategy. They should better represent our critical role in global health and place a greater focus on what our work means for the people and affected communities we work with and for. Concretely, we would like to move away from project-specific communication that tells the story of our work through the lens of individual investments, and towards the illustration of how our efforts help shape and advance global health priorities. The style of the documents should articulate what Unitaid does using accessible language and convey a sense of urgency and put people and access at the center to help connect with readers.

An existing set of Unitaid factsheets exists which can serve as a starting point, but they should be viewed critically, with an eye to reconceptualizing the information and format. The Contractor will be expected to consult with key staff and review and draw from existing Unitaid documents including Unitaid’s 2023-2027 Strategy and Investment Case.

    Qualification and Skills:

The proposed Contractor, shall have the expertise and more than five years of experience in the following:

    1. Experience in drafting strategic communication documents for similar international organizations targeting key external stakeholders, including donors, decision-makers, political leaders, and diverse partners.
    2. Demonstrated track record in developing strategic communications for resource mobilization, investment cases and/or other related areas.
    3. Experience analyzing and interpreting data and articulating related key findings in accessible communications products.
    4. Excellent written communication skills in English, with the ability to distil complex technical topics into clear and accessible language for a broad audience.
    5. Strong understanding of global health,  in particular in the areas of  HIV,  tuberculosis, malaria,  reproductive, maternal,  newborn and child health and global health pandemic response.
    6. Excellent organizational skills and project management experience.
    7. Demonstrated understanding of Unitaid’s strategy and business model would be an added advantage.
    8. Proficiency in English. The final deliverables must be submitted in English.

    Place of work:

Work will be performed remotely with video calls and phone calls as needed.
