Consultancy to undertake a Gender-sensitive Climate Risk and Vulnerability and Institutional Capacity Assessment in Copperbelt, North-Western and parts of Central Provinces

This Request for Expression of Interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared on the African Development Bank’s Internet Website (www.afdb.org).

The Government of the Republic of Zambia has secured funds from the CIF to implement the Expanded Response to Climate Resilience in Development (ERCRiD) and intends to apply part of these funds to commission a consultancy to undertake a Gender-sensitive Climate Risk and Vulnerability and Institutional Capacity Assessment in Copperbelt, North-western and parts of Central Provinces.

The assignment will undertake a Gender Sensitive Risk and Vulnerability and Institutional Capacity Assessment in order to identify, understand, document and map the vulnerabilities of local populations’ economies, environment and assets in the Copperbelt, North-Western and parts of Central Provinces and recommend climate-resilient adaptation and development options and pathways including investment options for climate resilient infrastructure. Furthermore, it will develop a framework to enhance capacity of national and regional stakeholders to plan, manage and implement climate adaptation measures for the ERCRID Project.
