The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Government of Nepal has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Improvement Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

Project Implementation Directorate, Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders, based on post-qualification criteria, for the construction and completion of the Works as described below:

The “Works” mainly comprise Design, Build, Operate, Transfer basis which shall cover for all the civil, electrical, and mechanical & electronics including all supply/install of required softwares etc for the complete and proper working of the SCADA system.

International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single- Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
