Design, Build, Operate, Maintain and Transfer Drinking water supply system

General Procurement Notice

Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Department (RDWSD), Government of Karnataka (GoK) through The Government of India (GoI) has applied for financing for an amount of US$ 400 million equivalent from the AIIB toward the cost of Karnataka Rural Water Supply Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project will be jointly co-financed by the Government of Karnataka.

The proposed project, with an estimated total investment of USD 618 million, will include, inter-alia, the following components:

1. Design of entire drinking water supply system, which include Intake structures, raw water mains, water treatment facility, treated water mains, master balancing reservoirs (MBRs), zonal balancing reservoirs (ZBRs) to overhead tanks (OHTs) in the project areas.
2. Build, operate, maintain and transfer the entire drinking water supply system
3. Consultancy services for project management support, and project monitoring and evaluation etc.

Procurement of contracts financed by AIIB will be conducted in accordance with AIIB Procurement Policy and the AIIB’s Interim Operational Directive on Procurement Instructions for Recipients (June 2, 2016), and is open to all eligible tenderers as defined in the Procurement Instructions for Recipients.

Specific procurement notices for contracts of goods, works and consulting services to be bid under the AIIB’s International Open Competitive Tender (IOCT) method will be announced, as they become available, in the websites of UN Development Business (https://devbusiness.un.org), the AIIB (https://www.aiib.org), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (https://rdpr.kar.nic.in/) and Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Department (http://english.swachhamevajayate.org/).

All tenders for the above project will be floated through the Government of Karnataka, e-portal i.e. https://eproc.karnataka.gov.in. All prospective tenderers are requested to follow the process of registration and register on E-Portal of Government of Karnataka (https://eproc.karnataka.gov.in) for submitting their tenders.
