Design-Supply, Install, Operate and Maintenance of GABAL El-ASFAR WWTP Stage III (Phases A&B)

The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. Invitation for Prequalification

This Invitation for Prequalification (IFP) follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project that appeared in United Nations Development Business online (UNDB online) AfDB-P907891-01/22 of 19 January 2022, on the African Development Bank’s Internet Website (www.afdb.org), DG Markets (https://www2.dgmarket.com/) and on Egyptian newspapers ( EL Ahram – Egyptian Gazette) on 21-22/1/2022

Referring to the Special Procurement Notice (SPN) for this project has been published on 17/2/2022 in DG Markets ( Pre-Qualification for Design, Supply, Install, Operate & Commissioning of GABAL El-ASFAR WWTP Stage III (Phases 1,2)), the African Development Bank’s Internet Website (www.afdb.org) and Egyptian newspapers ( EL Ahram – Egyptian Gazette) on 19-20/2/2022

The Government of Arab Republic of Egypt has applied for a financing from the African Development Bank (AFDB) and the French Development Agency (AFD), toward the cost of Design- Build, Construction & Commissioning (including operations and maintenance) of GABAL El-ASFAR WWTP Stage III (Phases A&B) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for Design-Supply, Install, Operate and maintenance of GABAL El-ASFAR WWTP Stage III (Phases A&B).

The Construction Authority for Potable Water & Wastewater Intends to prequalify contractors and firms for: Design-Supply, Install, Operate and Maintenance of GABAL El-ASFAR WWTP Stage III (Phases A&B).

It is expected that Invitations for Bid (IFB) will be made on 1st July 2022.

Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the in the African Development Bank’s Procurement Framework dated October 2015 (“Procurement Framework”), and is open to all eligible Applicants, as defined in the Procurement Framework.
