Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of high Voltage Distribution Switch Gear and Associated Installations at UN Complex

The United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter refered to as UNON) invites suitably qualified contractor/firms to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming competitive bidding exercise of design and build works for the upgrade of the high voltage electrical power distribution in the compound.

The scope of work consist of Carrying out an initial survey of the electrical installation at the main electrical plant room and providing a report on the same, Disconnection of the existing 1,500kVA oil cooled transformer, transporting to client’s storage location and handing over to the client, Disconnection of the existing 800kVA oil cooled transformer, transporting to client’s storage location and handing over to the client, Disconnection of all cabling (low voltage and high voltage) and switchgear associated with the above transformers, transporting the same to client’s storage location, within the compound, and handing over to the client, Supply and installation of new 1250kVA cast resin dry type transformer, Supply and installation of new 800kVA cast resin dry type transformer, Supply and installation of switchgear and relays for the above transformers, Supply and installation of high voltage cabling from existing high voltage switchgear to above transformers, Supply and installation of low voltage cabling between above transformers and existing low voltage switchboards, Provision of cable chambers and other cable managements, Circuit identification and labelling, Supply and installation of power quality monitoring and analyzing equipment,Safety installations for new and existing high voltage switchgear, Carry out energy audit for the entire electrical installations in the complex, Review of the electrical distribution systems settings to ensure proper cascading and alignment with the electricity power provider, Earthing of the equipment to 1 Ohm or less and providing records, Maintaining records of all works carried out on the equipment.
