    Item Description:

The UN Procurement Division is seeking expressions of interest from qualified manufacturers or their authorized agents for the supply and delivery of different types of Airfield Ground Handling Equipment (AGHE), including the provision of spare parts and ancillary services to the United Nations Field Missions in the Middle East, the Balkans, Africa, the Caribbean and Europe. By AGHE, the UN means a number of support equipment used at the UN airports to service the aircrafts between flights by providing functions such as ground power operations, aircraft mobility and loading operations for both cargo and passengers. The required equipment is listed below:

    1. Simple Mechanical Loaders
    2. K Loaders
    3. Main Deck Loaders
    4. Tow Tractors 8,000 – 12,000 daN e. Ground Power Unit 90 KVA
    5. Ground Power Unit 140 KVA.

EOI respondents shall be able to provide ANY or ALL the equipment listed above.

The UN expects the successful vendor to supply brand new AGHE, including after-sales support services (e.g. spare parts, warranty, tools, training, etc.) throughout the whole life cycle of the equipment, estimated to be 15 years. The resulting contract(s) will be on “as and when” required basis, and will be for an initial period of three (3) years with option to extend at the UN’s discretion for two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each.

Please note that this Request for Expression of Interest is not for refurbished equipment, and neither is it for traders, brokers, or grey market dealers.

It is the United Nations preference to enter into a contract(s) with AGHE manufacturers. However, should the manufacturer appoint a third party to respond to the solicitation and/or to enter into a contract with the UN, any resulting contract must be co-signed by the manufacturer. Similarly, should a vendor who is not a manufacturer want to respond to the solicitation, such vendor shall provide evidence that the manufacture agrees to co-sign any resulting contract(s).

Further to Paragraph 4 above, AGHE manufacturers may propose only one third party representative who is able to fulfill multiple orders from several UN field missions and UN Entities worldwide, the majority being in Africa, Middle East, and Asia.

Detailed technical specifications, quantities and support requirements shall be provided to vendors in the solicitation document.
