Item Description:
The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from duly registered and licensed companies for the Lease of Construction Heavy Equipment and Plant Equipment to MONUSCO at various locations (Kinshasa, Bunia, Beni, Goma, Bukavu and Uvira) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for an initial period of one (1) year with possibility of a two-year extension period (1+1+1).
In general terms, the successful bidder (Contractor) shall provide appropriate, sufficient and well fueled equipment in good and acceptable working condition to the satisfaction of the Engineering Section Supervisor(s), and sufficient and well qualified operating personnel as and when requested by MONUSCO.
The Heavy Equipment and Plant (HEP) shall be deployed in areas to be assigned by the Engineering Section, and shall be used primarily for earthmoving, formation levelling, grading and compacting of earth, trench excavation, transportation of soil, and any other type of works executable by the listed HEP.
HEP shall be hired on an hourly basis.
Servicing and maintenance of the HEP, in addition to the fueling, shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.
MONUSCO will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and accordingly, intends to issue an invitation to a solicitation to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information demonstrating their ability to fulfill MONUSCO requirements. In addition, the interested companies will be requested to complete UN Vendor registration preferably for level 1 on the vendor database accessible on http://www.ungm.org
The EOI should specify brief relevant information about the company including the company’s profile, capacity/capability and experience. Vendors will be shortlisted based on their ability to provide the relevant documents showing that they are able to meet the requirement.
Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation to submit proposals/bids.
MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the solicitation documents. MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the deadline indicated below.
