Provision of Construction of Water Tank (Reservoir) at the United Nations Entebbe Support Base, Uganda.

The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945.  It is currently made up of 193 Member States.  The mission and work of the United Nations are guided by the purposes and principles contained in it’s founding Charter.

The United Nations Procurement Division/Regional Procurement Office (UNPD/RPO), hereby invites qualified and Competent Companies to submit their expressions of interests for the Construction a Water Tank (Reservoir) to improve and increase the fresh water storage capacity of the United Nations Entebbe Support Base, Uganda (UNESB).

The proposed water reservoir shall have three water tank chambers; two tanks for water supply and one tank for firefighting services and a fourth chamber as a pump room. The construction of the tank is defined by reinforced concrete foundation, walls and top cover slab.

The Scope of Requirement stipulates that works shall include provision of materials and all consumables, provision of competent manpower, supervision, tools, equipment, apparatus, appurtenances (including temporary shoring, scaffolding) to execute the works.

Bidders shall be required to attend the mandatory site visit/pre-bid meeting which will be scheduled during bidding time, and the date shall be communicated to all bidders. At the site visit, bidders shall collect all the data and information, to satisfy themselves on any special requirements or difficulties that the site may present, and to make any necessary inquiries which, in the bidder’s opinion, require further explanation, as no claim for lack of information on any issues will be allowed by the UN.
