Item Description:
CERN intends to place a contract for the provision of manufacturing and quality control services on the CERN site for the manufacturing of 30 coils for the MQXFB quadrupole magnets of the HL-LHC project, starting from July 2020, with an option for up to 20 additional units. The coils shall be conforming to CAD models and drawings provided by CERN.
Interested firms shall have proven experience in the production of large size accelerator magnets made of Rutherford type cable (Nb-Ti and/or Nb3Sn).
