Provision of Medical Services for the EU Agencies in the Paris Region

Item Description:

This call for tenders is about medical services and related services. The medical services cover pre-employment medical tests for candidates and annual medical visits for staff of the participating entities (lot 1). These health check-ups contain different kinds of medical tests. In order to assess the results of the pre-employment medical tests and the fitness of candidates to start a job, a generalist or occupational doctor is needed (lot 2).

Lot 1: Medical Centre: Pre-employment Medical Tests for Candidates and Annual Medical Visits for Staff

The pre-employment medical tests are mandatory examinations for future staff and are determined by the Staff Regulations of the contracting authority. The employment conditions of the contracting authority’s staff members are not subject to French employment law. The medical centre will be requested to perform the tests and exams as listed in detail in Annexes A and C to the Tender Specifications (standard and specific lists of pre-employment medical tests and ophthalmological tests), and communicate the results to the medical advisor.

Lot 2: Medical Expert (Médecin du travail ou généraliste): Assessment of the Results of the Pre-employment Medical Tests

The medical advisor is not necessarily an occupational doctor (‘médecin du travail’ in French). The medical advisor can be a general practitioner (Médecin généraliste) or any other kind of doctor allowed to provide the services described below in the French territory. Analysis of results of pre-employment medical testsThe medical advisor must confirm job candidates’ aptitude to work. All staff is required to undergo comprehensive pre-employment medical tests before being recruited to certify their fitness for work. The tests and examinations will be carried out at the medical centre to be contracted by the under lot 1.
