Provision of Solid Waste Equipment (Incinerator, hydraulic Baler Baler, All-purpose Shredder, Bulb Crusher and Wheelie Bins)

The United Nations (UN) has a requirement to establish a Global Systems Contract for the supply, installation, commissioning/testing, training and vendor managed inventory services of Solid Waste Equipment (incinerator, baler, all-purpose shredder, bulb crusher, and wheelie bins) to safely handle and treat waste in accordance with industry best practice.

The proposed contract will be for an initial period of three (3) years with the option to extend for two additional one-year periods (3+1+1) at the sole discretion of the UN and upon satisfactory performance by the Contractor.

The contract will also include optional services which could be requested by the UN during the term of the contract, such services shall include, but not limited to, professional services to be provided in various UN locations1 as may be required, services will be related to disassembling/dismantling/decommissioning, re- packaging, maintenance and additional training.

The proposed incinerator, baler, all-purpose shredder, bulb crusher and wheelie bins shall allow for the following main requirements:

1. Rapid and easy installation
2. Rapid deployment;
3. Easy transportation (easy loading and un-loading);
4. Be economical to operate and maintain and have a low and efficient energy consumption;
5. proposals shall include the energy consumption at the rated capacity;
6. Be suitable for modular applications and based on common, well-proven and clean technology;
7. Be as labour free as possible, easy to use and operable by trained but mostly unskilled operators;
8. The equipment shall have a lifespan (period for which the item is expected to function at its designated capacity without major repairs or replacement) of at least ten (10) years.

The detailed scope of requirements, including the technical specifications, quantities and expected delivery dates will be provided within the solicitation which will be sent out to all vendors responding to this expression of interest (EOI). No further detail can be made available prior to the issuance of the solicitation.
