Provision of Warehouse Shelving

Item Description:

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 December 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF’s mandate was extended to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. In 1953 it became a permanent part of the United Nations System, and the words “international” and “emergency” were dropped from the organization’s name, making it simply the United Nations Children’s Fund, retaining the original acronym, “UNICEF”.

For its efforts to enhance solidarity between nations and reduce the difference between rich and poor states, UNICEF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1965.

Request for proposal (RFP)

UNICEF has now issued an RFP in order to select a supplier for the Provision of Warehouse Shelving.

Vendors requesting  clarifications  should send to omhungu@unicef.org and amagudhu@unicef.org  no later than 21st September 2022 @ 10:00am to enable UNICEF to issue clarifications where applicable.

There will be a site visitto the warehouse with all potential bidders on Monday 19th September 2022 at 14:00hrs. Address will be provided upon request via the above stated emails for clarification.

There will  be a virtual/online pre-bid conferenceon the 15th September 2022  at 11:30hrs Harare Local time, via Microsoft Teams link provided  below and in the LRFQS document. All potential and interested bidders are encouraged to attend.

The deadline for the submission of proposals is on or before 30th September at 10:00hrs Harare Local time.

NB.Please note, UNICEF does not charge any fee at any stage of the solicitation process.
