Sewer Rehabilitation in Core City Area of Lalitpur Metropolitan City

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Government of Nepal has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Kathmandu Valley Wastewater Management Project (KVWMP). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The Project Implementation Directorate (PID), KUKL (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the Construction and Completion of Sewer Network at Lalitpur Core Area including World Heritage Site (“the Works”), which consists of major works as mentioned hereunder:

• Supplying, laying, fitting, and fixing of Double Wall Corrugated Plastic Pipes and Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) Pipes;
• Construction of Sewer System of about 2.80 kilometers length (1.7km Double wall Corrugated Plastic Pipes and 1.1 RCC Pipes);
• Manholes;
• RCC and masonry work; and
• Reinstatement of existing utilities (electricity, water supply and telecommunication).

International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single- Stage: Two-Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries as described in the Bidding Document.
