Supply of 12 Electromechanical DC Circuit Breakers as part of the energy extraction system of three experimental magnets in the North Area

Item Description:

CERN intends to place a Contract for the supply of 12 identical 6 kA DC electro-mechanical circuit breakers, together with their driving control hardware, the individual housing for each one of them and the connection busbars, as part of the energy extraction system of three independent magnets. Each system is housed in standard EURO rack with dimensions 600x1000x2400 mm. The Contractor will be responsible for the manufacture, factory acceptance tests, installation of the Supply and acceptance tests on the CERN site of Prevessin France.

Interested firms shall have proven experience and competence in the design, manufacture and maintenance of high current, fast opening time circuit breakers.
