Supply of one ion source turn-key bench for production of Helium and Proton beams

Item Description:

CERN intends to place a Contract for the supply of one ion source turn-key bench for production of Helium and Proton beams, including the vacuum system, power supply, gas systems and beam steering elements. The source type shall be Electron-Cyclotron Resonance (ECR) with permanent magnet and a helium (4He2+) beam intensity of 100 µA and protons with similar current. The Contractor will be responsible for the factory acceptance tests as well as for the installation at CERN.

Interested firms shall have proven experience and competence in the design, manufacture and maintenance of ion source turn-key bench for production of Helium and Proton beams with a helium (4He2+) beam intensity of 100 µA.
