Supply of retractable Wedge Barrier/ Road blocker (no installation)

The following are other additional mandatory requirements;

• Shall be capable of being integrated with CCURE 9000 management system from TYCO/ Johnson Controls
• Shall be able to be controlled by card readers integrated with CCURE 9000 management system from TYCO/ Johnson Controls
• Shall be able to be controlled electronically by push buttons for emergency deployment
• Shall have the ability to be activated using a radio frequency remote device
• Shall incorporate led safety lighting on the front to be viewable when lifted
• Shall incorporate a safety skirt covering the view of the internal mechanism of the blocker/barrier
• Traffic lights (red and green) for each barrier/blocker
• Shall be able to be manually operated during a power outage
• Two length options shall be quoted. The first shall be 2 meters but will accept between 2 – 2.5 meters and the second shall be 3.5 meters but will accept between 3.5 – 4 meters
• Included emergency battery for lowering the blocker/barrier incase of power outage
• Included emergency battery for emergency lift (EFO)
• Shall have an IP68 rating and be able to operate if completely submerged in water

Companies expressing interest should note that this Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) serves as pre-qualification of the companies that will be invited to participate in the tender process .Intrested firms will be invited to the tender by “Invitation to Bid (ITB)” at later stage and the detail requirement will be
further specfied in the ITB document.

UNECA reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the EOI/ or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. The ITB and any subsequent commitment to contract will be issued in accordance with UN rules and regulations.

UNECA is precluded from entering into contract with a vendor that is not registered with United Nations Global Market Place(UNGM). Thus, only those vendors who are registered or provisionaly registered or have started their registration process in UNGM will be eligible to receive the solicitation document ITB.

Those interested in responding to this EOI but not currently registered as vendors with UNGM, are encouraged to register before submission date for closing of the EOI in the United Nations Global Market Place (UNGM).
