Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
The Government of the Kingdom of Tonga has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Outer Island Renewable Energy Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payment under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
The Ministry of Meteorology, Energy, Information, Disaster Management, Environment, Climate Change and Communications (MEIDECC) (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the ICB-P4-EQUIPMENT-02 package, which includes seven (7) Lots, as follows:
- Lot 1: 1 × Double Cab Ute (second-hand)
- Lot 2: 1 × Knuckle boom mounted crane truck (second hand)
- Lot 3: 2 × Compact Mini Excavators (second-hand) with 2 × Trailers for the Excavators (second-hand)
- Lot 4: 1 × Tractor (second-hand) with 1 x Trenching Machine attachment (second hand)
- Lot 5: 1 × Spare Full Trenching Machine Attachment (same as above) (second-hand)
- Lot 6: 1 × Tractor (second-hand) with 1 x Rock Saw attachment (second hand)
- Lot 7: 1 × Telehandler (second-hand)
All Lots (1-7) are to be delivered (Incoterm: DDP) to the Domestic Ferry Wharf, Nuku’alofa, Tongatapu within a maximum of four (4) months from contract signing. All Lots also have to be cleared through the Customs process before delivery to the Domestic wharf. Please note that there shall be no customs or duty levied upon the equipment as they are for a Development Partner funded project, but there may be fees and administration costs that need to be covered by the Bidder. In addition, there will be transportation costs to move the goods from the international wharf to the domestic wharf and the Bidder is responsible for this. A Bidder may bid for any one Lot, more than one Lot, or for all of the Lots.
International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with the ADB’s Single Stage – One Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all eligible Bidders as described in the Bidding Document.
