Item Description:
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 December 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF’s mandate was extended to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. In 1953 it became a permanent part of the United Nations System, and the words “international” and “emergency” were dropped from the organization’s name, making it simply the United Nations Children’s Fund, retaining the original acronym, “UNICEF”.
Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Unit, Supply Division, UNICEF in Copenhagen has planned “2019 Tender Calendar – for Long Term Arrangements”. The purpose of WASH Unit tender calendar is to allow suppliers to express their interest in participating in our solicitation process.
In order for UNICEF to register the interest of eligible suppliers in being invited for a selection of the products listed in the attached tender calendar, please return a copy of the attached document (ticking off products of interests) to Ms. Uamphon Bringsoe (e-mail: mailto:washsupply@unicef.org). Please clearly state your company name, contact person’s name, email address and UNGM No. in the document.
Kindly note that:-
1. This tender calendar is only indicative and may vary substantially from the actual bidding exercise.
2. Specifications for most items with material numbers are available in the UNICEF online catalogue at https://supply.unicef.org/
3. An expression of interest by a supplier does not automatically guarantee the supplier that it will be included in the solicitation process. UNICEF reserves the right to require compliance with additional conditions (e.g., financial conditions, etc.).
