Supply, Refilling, Repair and Maintenance of fire extinguishers and related accessories in support of United Nations regional missions

The United Nations Procurement Division, Global Procurement Support Section (GPSS/PD) based in Entebbe Uganda, intends to undertake a solicitation on behalf of the UN Regional Missions in Africa for the Supply, Refilling, Repair and Maintenance of fire extinguishers, spare parts, and other related services on a long-term basis under a Regional Systems Contract.

GPSS/PD seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced Service Providers that are duly registered and have the expertise to provide the required goods and services.

The proposed term of Contract shall be for an initial period of one (1) year with an option to extend for an additional three, one (1) year successive periods (1+1+1), at the sole discretion of the UN, subject to UN budgets and mandates and the satisfactory performance of the vendor(s).

Companies interested must demonstrate their capability and provide evidence that they have enough resources and capacity to meet the requirement.

Companies interested in providing such services are invited to submit the Vendor Response Form below, clearly indicating the following:

a)  Company’s address, contact person, telephone numbers and e-mail;

b)  Company’s registration number (if already registered with the UN).

Additionally, Interested Vendors should send a copy their abridged company profile to unesb-pd- gpss@un.org along with the vendor response form.

As you express interest in the planned solicitation by submitting the response form, please verify and ensure that your company is registered under its full legal name with the UN Secretariat on the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org).

Note that companies that have previously submitted EOI for similar requirements with the UN must re-submit full documentation as detailed above.

Please note, this is not an invitation for submission of bid or proposals. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested to participate in the solicitation when issued.

The GPSS/PD will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider those companies that have expressed their interest providing the required information as to their ability to fulfill the UN’s requirement.

The GPSS/PD reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. The tender and any subsequent commitment to contract will be issued in accordance with the UN financial rules and regulations.

The expression of interest (EOI) is to be submitted by e-mail to: unesb-pd-gpss@un.org no later than 15 March 2019 and clearly marked with the inscription “Supply, Refilling, Repair and Maintenance of Fire Extinguishers and Related Accessories in Support of United Nations Regional Missions”.

EOIs not addressing the above criteria to the satisfaction of GPSS/PD may not be considered for the solicitation to bid, if and when issued. GPSS/PD reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the solicitation and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for solicitation document.
