Consultancy Services for Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), Technical Audit and Road Safety Audit and Road Safety Sensitization on Namagumba- Budadiri- Nalugugu Road Upgrading Project (39km)

The Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) published in the UN Development Business (UNDB) online, African Development Bank (AfDB) website on October 17, 2022, and Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) website on October 19, 2022 respectively.

The Government of Uganda has received a loan from the African Development Bank towards the cost of Namagumba- Budadiri- Nalugugu Road Upgrading Project and intends to apply part of the loan proceeds to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for Monitoring & Evaluation, Technical Audit and Road Safety Audit and Sensitization on Namagumba- Budadiri- Nalugugu Road Upgrading Project (39 Km).

The Namagumba-Budadiri-Nalugugu road (39 Km) road is an existing gravel road located in the Eastern part of Uganda and borders Mt Elgon National Park, and therefore an important link in the tourist circuit. It traverses through the district of Sironko. Namagumba-Budadiri-Nalugugu road (39Km) project is part of the National Road network, starting at a junction about 5Km along Mbale-Namunsi Trading Center. It is part of the link that connects Sironko, Kapchorwa and Mbale towns to the people living along the slopes of mountain Elgon.
