Supply of IT Hardware and Ancillaries for the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP)

Item Description:

The Mission of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) is to take forward the EU’s neighbourhood and enlargement policies, as well as coordinating relations with EEA-EFTA countries insofar as Commission policies are concerned. DG NEAR works closely with the European External Action Service and the line DGs in charge of thematic priorities.

By implementing assistance actions in Europe’s eastern and southern neighbourhood, DG NEAR supports reform and democratic consolidation, and strengthens the prosperity, stability and security around Europe. DG NEAR helps to promote EU values, policies and interests in this region, and to contribute to developing the special relationship of the EU with its neighbouring countries.

Purpose of this contract

The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP) intends to establish a Continuous Training Centre (CTC) based on EU best practices. This will require the procurement of hardware and ancillaries, such as:

• servers (8 pieces), including 6 to be installed in the SSUFSCP data centre;
• NL-SAS HDD (6 pieces) and SAS HDD (6 pieces);
• firewall with routing functions (1 piece);
• all-in-One Desktops (two models, totally 108 pieces);
• notebooks (20 pieces); one interactive Flat Panel whiteboard;
• two sets for Video production and webinars; multimedia projectors (2 pieces);
• WiFi routers (8 sets); and
• sets of furniture (desk and chair) for classrooms (108 sets).

Part of this equipment will be delivered in Kyiv (to the State Scientific Research Institute of Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary Sanitary Expertise and the SSUFSCP), whereas the equipment intended to equip the other CTC classrooms in the regions will be dispatched in 6 different locations throughout Ukraine.
