Supply of Last Miles Connection Materials – Energy Meters, Service Line Cables and Connection Accessories for Kigoma Region Lot 1 and 2

The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has applied for financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) toward the cost of Malagarasi Hydropower Project, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for Supply of Last Miles Connection Materials – Energy Meters, Service Line Cables and Connection Accessories for Kigoma Region; Lot (1 – For supply of end user Meters and Accessories; and Lot 2 – For supply of Service Line Cables, Connectors and other Accessories).

The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) now invites sealed tenders from eligible Suppliers for Supply of Last Miles Connection Materials – Energy Meters, Service Line Cables and Connection Accessories for Kigoma Region; Lot 1 – For supply of end User Meters and Accessories; and Lot 2 – For supply of Service Line Cables, Connectors and other Accessories

Tenderer(s) are free to quote for one or all lots but award will be per single lot or combinations of lots based on evaluation results to responsiveness of the Tender requirements.

Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the Public Procurement Regulations151(1) (b) and (c) of the Public Procurement Act No. 07 of 2011 and its Regulations of 2013 GN No.446 as amended in 2016, and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.

Interested eligible Tenders may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at TANePS through http://www.taneps.go.tz.

All tenders must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents.

Tender must be electronically submitted online through TANePS in the proper format, on or before the due date as indicated in TANePS. Tender will be opened thereafter online through TANePS.( http://www.taneps.go.tz )

Tenders not submitted in TANePS shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
