Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The People’s Republic of Bangladesh (“the borrower’’) has received financing from ADB, AFD and GEF towards the cost of Greater Dhaka Sustainable Urban Transport Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.
The Road and Highways Department (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids form eligible Bidders to bid under one package for a plant (design, supply, and installation) contract for the following: Solar-powered Highway Lighting – It will include at least 2000 stand-alone solar- powered streetlights on both sides of the BRT road and provision of Solar Panels at Bus Station.
Time for completion of the works from the commencement date will be 12 months.
International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One Envelope Bidding Procedure. Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible countries as described in the bidding documents (Section 5).
