Item Description:
The United Nations owns and operates stand alone and rack mounted Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) units at UN Off-Site Buildings and Headquarters Campus. The UPSs currently support Information Technology Telecom Rooms (TRs), physical security equipment, telecom wall cabinets, and specialized applications. The UPS equipment is located at the following locations: UN Headquarters, DC-1, DC-2, FF, Daily News, Falchi, Unitar, and Greentree (Manhasset, NY).
The following services are to be provided
- Operation and maintenance services which includes, on-call as needed hardware support, repair, parts, and quietly preventative maintenance services.
- Complete, comprehensive, preventative and remedial maintenance services for hardware and firmware support for critical 6 KVA and smaller Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and peripherals, such as Extended Runfime Modules (ERM), and Network Management Cards.
- The Contractor shall provide maintenance and repair services to all UPS systems and peripherals, such as ERMs, bypass modules, transformers, and network cards during normal business hours.
- Installation support for new projects and construction upgrades. Providing expertise, the vendor is to work with the UN installation contractors as requested to supply equipment, pre/post condition surveys, measurements, and start-up reports.
- Provide service reports and maintain service logs.
- Provide quotes for additional equipment and services as requested.
All UPSs are networked to a critical application monitoring system which provides immediate alerts upon equipment troubles and failures and logs abnormal conditions.
