Provision of Services for Dashboard and Analysis Tools Used by the EIF

Item Description:

The European Investment Fund (EIF) is launching a Call for Tenders (open procedure) with the aim of awarding two Service Contracts to one (1) Service Provider in two (2) different Lots for the provision of services for Dashboard and Analysis tools used by the EIF.

Purpose of the Call for Tenders

In 2017, the EIF decided to implement a dashboard platform based on Tableau to cover its dashboard and interactive reporting needs. The implementation, hosting, support, maintenance and enhancement of the platform was outsourced to a third party and supervised by OIM/ISM, following the previous call for tender.

Following the implementation of Tableau and the focus on the interactive map, implemented in collaboration with the service provider selected for the implementation of the dashboard platform (for more information, please, see http://www.eif4smes.com) showing SME financing allocation over Europe, Alteryx has become a key tool in the dashboard activity within the EIF. Alteryx, as a data analytical tool, complements the use of Tableau and its use goes hand in hand with the use of Tableau dashboards.

Through this Call for Tenders, the EIF expects to find a Service Provider that will be able to deliver the required Services according to the requirements described in these TORs for both Lots in relation to the indicated tools.

Lot 1: Implementation, Hosting, Operation, Enhancement, Support and Maintenance of Server-based Alteryx Solution or Equivalent.

Alteryx server based platform or equivalent: the EIF wants to implement an Alteryx server based platform or equivalent. The platform will be hosted on the cloud, will ensure inter-operability from EIF premises and will have access to the MS SQL Data store, to the Tableau platform and to future data source relevant for analysis purposes.

Lot 2: Hosting, Operation, Enhancement, Support and Maintenance of Tableau Solution

The Tableau platform is already in place and no changes are foreseen for the time being, unless required in case a migration to a new hosting environment would be needed. Therefore, the service provider will have to ensure the hosting of the solution on the cloud. Currently, the Tableau platform is hosted on AWS. Tableau platform has access to the MS SQL Data store and will also benefit from the implementation of the Alteryx platform (Lot 1) as data source for the creation and enhancement of dashboards.
